We have been here exactly 11 days and already I can tell you that everything really IS bigger in Texas. Spring is HUGE and it takes forever to get anywhere because it's so spread out. And having only the one car will make things interesting! ;-) The houses are huge, the parks are huge, the Wal Mart is seriously GI-NORMOUS!!! And lets not forget the BUGS... boo!!!!!!! They are HUGE and gross and EVERYWHERE!!! The home we bought was vacant for about two weeks before Ken got here, and in that time everything disgusting under the sun decided it was a nice place to set up camp! So now we are trying to get rid of all the "visitors". We are seeing progress, slowly, but I found a tree roach in my spatula drawer yesterday morning the size of my pointer finger. Ewwwwww........ Because of the visitors, we have taken our time unpacking and organizing the kitchen. As of Saturday night ALL of the kitchen-related boxes are empty. It's on the countertops and tabletops, but the boxes are empty! ;-)
It has actually been a really big week: Peyten started kindergarten, we met the neighbors and ward at church, P had school pics, roaches, pool safety net was installed, electrician, dryer repair man, handyman, insurance guy, got the phone and internet hooked up, our first swim in our first pool and a gecko fell on my head when I opened the back door! That was especially awesome! ;-) BIG week! Also very glad it's over! ;-) Pictures will come over the next few days of our last weeks in CA, the awesome pool cover, our trip to UT to visit family, roomies and friends and other stuff!
